For over 10 years, The Shalom Project has grown as we have continued to find ways to more fully serve those in need in our community with a variety of basic services. A growing body of evidence suggests that access to the right support at critical moments can determine whether a household is able to capture an opportunity to move out of poverty or absorb a shock without being pushed further into crisis.
Importantly, The Shalom Project has launched longer term initiatives in recent years to advocate for greater community engagement in reducing poverty (see Initiatives).
