What is The Big Chill?
The Big Chill is our largest annual fundraiser, and it's always a good time! Each July, we celebrate National Ice Cream Day with an afternoon full of homemade ice cream, live music, food trucks, family fun, and community. Join us on Saturday, July 18, from 1–4 p.m. at Knollwood Baptist Church.
Some incredible community organizations and faith groups are already busy churning their favorite homemade ice cream recipes, all competing for the coveted People's Choice Award. Check out our ice cream teams HERE. You can cheer them on by making a gift through their fundraising pages, plus cast your vote at their booths during the event!
The other really "cool" part of The Big Chill is our Cold Callers. These brave volunteers take a seat on a block of ice for 30-minute shifts while calling on friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors to ask them to support The Shalom Project. Meet this year's Cold Callers below and help them reach their fundraising goals! Last year alone, our Cold Callers raised more than $35,000 to support our work. Amazing!
